After a very successful debut at Tangent Gallery in Detroit on Memorial Day, we’re excited to present a collaboration between Going In and The Bunker for the first time in NYC. Going In is a label project of The Bunker New York, dedicated to long-form musical compositions geared towards meditation, plant medicine ceremonies, psychedelic therapy, yoga, massage, spacing out and going inside yourself.

The Good Room will kick off with a live set from The Juan Maclean, inspired by his album for Going In, “Ritual Device” and featuring live gong and flute. As the name suggests, it’s informed by Maclean’s experiences as a ritual healer, and its intentions are clear: this is music for the deep seeker, for the psychedelic session, for the inward journey. Juan’s performance should ground us perfectly for Azu Tiwaline’s 3 hour prime time live/DJ hybrid set.

From the moment we first heard Azu Tiwaline’s music, we knew we wanted her to play at The Bunker, and the time has finally come. Azu Tiwaline’s productions are inspired by a need to explore her origins, rooted in the Sahara. Her sound is a mix of the organic and the raw, vibrations from the spaces of the desert where entrancing music resonates and ecstatic rituals are commonplace.

Our resident DJ Patrick Russell will be closing the room with a much-anticipated extended set. We’ve asked him to play as heady as possible, and we’re sure he will deliver in a way that only he can.

The Bad Room will be taken over fully by Going In. Label artist Österholm joins us for his world debut live set. Phil Yeah of Philadelphia and label founder Bryan Kasenic will play extended DJ sets. We’ll have plenty of seating and candlelight so you can fully immerse yourself in the sound.
