Going In at Pioneer Works
Going In at Pioneer Works 159 Pioneer Street 18+, 12p-11p
$75-125
Going In at Pioneer Works is among the first projects supported by the NYC Office of Nightlife’s Nightlife Grant, a new initiative aimed at strengthening and sustaining New York City’s nightlife ecosystem.
The event is a 12-hour immersive listening program exploring long-form compositions for deeply expanded states and attentive listening. The program brings together artists working with slow, non-directive sound and durational forms that support sustained presence, collective atmosphere, and immersive listening.
Going In is a sub-label of The Bunker New York focused on long-form compositions and listening-centered environments. Rather than a traditional concert format, the event unfolds as a continuous environment, allowing audiences to move freely through the space and engage at their own pace over the course of the day.
Seating will include chairs as well as open floor space, with a limited number of early entry tickets available for those who wish to arrive ahead of general admission to settle into floor areas and get VIP balcony access. While space will be available to sit or lie down, floor access is not guaranteed and will be determined by arrival time and capacity.
The 2026 program features live sets from Abby Echiverri, Ami Dang, Chloe Alexandra Thompson, Christina Wheeler, Gamelatron, Imaginary Softwoods, Infinity Machine (Juan MacLean x Gee Dee), Kelly Moran, Kroba, Omar Ahmad x DJ Haram, Phil Yeah, and The Transcendence Orchestra (Anthony Child, Dan Bean, C. Lavender), with interludes throughout the day curated by Matt Xavier.
The event will also include a collaborative altar installation by Samantha de Maryela, honoring Red Hook artists affected by the 2025 fire at 481 Van Brunt St. The installation creates space for reflection, gathering, and healing within the broader community.
This event is designed to support a shared environment of attentive listening and presence. We ask that phone use be kept to a minimum and that conversation be reserved for outdoor areas, helping maintain a quiet, immersive space inside the hall. Guests are welcome to step into the yard at any time for conversation or connection.
Presented by Beyond Booking and Pioneer Works and supported by the NYC Office of Nightlife, the full program will be broadcast live by The Lot Radio, with live visual manipulations by ACE accompanying the stream.
This program is supported by the Nightlife Grant administered by the NYC Department of Small Business Services and its NYC Office of Nightlife. The Grant provides funding to nonprofit organizations that strengthen and sustain New York City’s nightlife ecosystem.
