As dance music culture becomes increasingly global, professionalized, and career-oriented, what does success actually mean?

From Detroit and Chicago outward, generations of artists have shaped club culture through dedication to craft, community, and long-term artistic vision rather than algorithmic visibility or market trends. This conversation centers artists whose paths began in Midwest rave and club scenes and expanded internationally without compromising their sound, values, or integrity.

Father Dukes, Shaun J. Wright, and Mike Servito will reflect on how they first encountered rave and club culture, how those formative experiences led to careers in music, and how their practices today continue to resist purely careerist models of success.

What does it mean to build a sustainable life in music without sacrificing artistic identity? How do local scenes shape global influence? What does alternative success look like in 2026?
