Rrose is an iconic artist who has been an integral figure inspiring The Bunker for many years. For this party, we’re trying something very different and have asked them to play a 3 hour opening set where they are free to take things as far out as they want to. Given the immersive sound environments that Rrose is known to create, we’re very excited to hear what they’ll be able to build over an escalating extended set. We’ve also been looking forward to pairing Rrose with Munich’s Polygonia, another artist known for blurring genre boundaries and pushing the sonic envelope, who takes over for a hypnotizing prime time set. Rrose and Polygonia have an upcoming collaborative release that we’re very excited about that you’ll be hearing more about soon. Closing the night is Brussels’ Fuse resident DJ and label co-curator Altinbas, who has been playing all over Europe lately, making his US debut. Through his excellent Observation Station imprint, and other labels such as Token, Non Series, and of course Fuse, Altinbas has released a ton of great music in a relatively short period of time.

In the Bad Room we have an all night set from Umboma, which is a collaboration between Omar Ahmad and Miss Alicia. Umboma is a project that emphasizes African, Arab and Latin American contemporary rhythms. A combination of Arabic, Swahili and Spanish words, Umboma signifies a Congregation of Freedom & Dance. Umboma do long-form journeys, starting with the experimental and psychedelic, moving into the rhythmic and euphoric.
