Philippe Quenum has released over sixty records in 10 years of music making, with a new album "As Told On The Eve Of." now out on Glasgow's Soma Quality Recordings and singles on labels such as Trapez in Cologne, Alphahouse (USA), Toys For Boys (Belgium) or Plak in Switzerland, where Quenum resides with his family. Quenum very much enjoys collaborations with other producers and was the cofounder of Cadenza Records, one of the most forward-thinking electronic music labels of the 21st century. And most recently, of Num Records & Num Ltd, new imprints which have already established themselves, dedicated to supporting new talents. A pioneer of the DJ trade in the Swiss/French area since the early eighties, Quenum has also lived in London for a decade, working with -among others- producer Paulo Nascimento as Access 58, to release music on Pacific or Music Man Records. Tonight serves as a record release party for his new "Vault Elements" EP on the Brooklyn based Thema label.
Stefny's true love has always been music. A musician since age 7, the native Californian discovered her passion for electronic music in at the early nineties, and was heavily influenced by the acid house and techno sound of that time. Expanding her passion for music into producing, she has spent the past three years developing a sexy, deep, micro-house sound. With recent releases on Defchild Recordings, Dietrich Schoenemann's Addon imprint, Pheek's Archipel label, Ulysses' Sodium label, and Darko's Lucy Lee Quality Recordings, Stefny is an emerging talent to keep an eye on. Tonight we celebrate not only Stefny's Bunker debut, but also her birthday!
Chuck Flask began DJing in the Detroit underground scene in 1997, developing his own style that seamlessly transitions through minimal, Detroit techno and house to appease any audience. In 2001, Chuck joined Paxahau as a resident DJ and production coordinator. In 2006, Chuck added the responsibilities of talent buyer for Movement: Detroit's Electronic Music Festival and label manager of D Records; both Paxahau satellite projects. Through his involvement with Paxahau, Chuck's performances evolved, earning him coveted gigs with everyone from Carl Craig to Ricardo Villalobos. With direct influence from some of the world's top artists, Chuck expanded on his work as a DJ to also become known for his production talents. With solo releases on Blazaebla and D Records and a joint release on D Records as one half of the duo VSOP, Chuck continues to develop both his DJ and live shows, which has lead to high profile international gigs at Space in Ibiza, Club Der Visionaere in Berlin, The Beatport stage at the Winter Music Conference and the Detroit Electronic Music Festival.
