Atomly hails from the great white wilderness of North Dakota and his Viking-like stature reminds you of his hearty root. Moving from Minot to Fargo to Minneapolis to Chicago, the 25 year-old producer spent over a decade soaking up the diverse and rough-edged Midwest party scene. You can hear it in his amazingly diverse live sets, which move from groovy minimal techno to seismic drum'n'bass and full throttle breakcore (tonight he focuses mostly on techno). A dedicated programming geek, Atomly was one of the first producers to make the move from gear to laptop performances, composing tracks amidst a matrix of ones and zeros. But technique has little to do with the powerful sound that comes from his tiny computer (dwarfed even further by his 6'8" frame). He has appeared across the US as well as having logged several European tours. His music and remixes have appeared on his own Atomiq Records as well as releases from domestic drum and bass label Fear and New York avant-electronic imprint, Carpark. Lately, he has been hanging out in Berlin, playing shows, and working on new tracks. It's been exactly one year since Atomly played at the Bunker, and we're excited to hear what he's been up to. http://atomly.com/
