It's Winter Music Conference in Miami this week, and as usual, the Bunker is completely uninvolved. We're throwing a party in NYC with a few interesting international weirdos instead. Rob Hall is one of the most inspired, meticulous and well respected DJ's anywhere in the world today. His specialty is weaving together sets of electro, house, techno, breaks, and experimental electronic music into totally danceable headfuck sets. He is the Skam records resident DJ, and has traveled the globe extensively on tour with Autechre. He also worked in the studio and contributed to live performances of Autechre's Gescom project. http://www.skam.co.uk/ It's been a long time since Bunker co-founder Timeblind has joined us for a set. NYC was bumming him out, so he moved to Berlin two years ago, leaving the Bunker in the hands of DJ Spinoza. Timeblind has always been a wildly eclectic DJ, spinning dancehall, jungle, hip-hop, techno, disco, arabic dance music, and lately alot of grime/dubstep. He is also a prolific recording artist, releasing techno 12"s on Probe, Synewave, Missile and Kanzleramt; boundary/genre-free electronica on Orthlorng Musork; dancehall on Shockout; and an upcoming dubstep/grime EP on DJ /rupture's Soot label ... all quality output. He's now using Ableton Live to bring all of these diverse interests together in hybrid DJ/live sets that cover alot of ground. http://crucial-systems.com/ Romo runs the highly successful Backlash weekly in Dublin, Ireland. The format is somewhat open-ended, with a focus on minimal techno and electro-house. He's brought in many heavyweight artists like Chicken Lips, Jacques Lu Cont, Blackstrobe, the Optimo DJs, and Tiefschwarz. He's also been playing big parties all around Dublin, and we're excited to bring his sound to NYC. http://www.backlash.ie/
