The Bunker presents Gregory Shiff and $mall Change at subTonic
Free
With a combination of red-letter recordings and thunderous live shows, Gregory Shiff has been working his way into the world's electronic consciousness. Described as "New York City's master of all things tech and house" (XLR8R), he has solidly earned his spot among the United States' new elite producers, releasing a wide range of critically acclaimed music from deep techno on the Persona imprint to tech house tracks on the Bedrock label. Taking live techno on the road, Greg has performed across America and Europe infusing dancefloors with "uplifting but resolutely underground techno" (DJ Mag). Tonight will be Gregory's first gig with his new laptop setup. It may also be one of his last gigs in the US for awhile, as he's moving to Barcelona in March.
$mall ¢hange is an insane record collector, DJ, and funky mofo about town who uses his encyclopedic knowledge of mindblowing music to pick out the best records (dude has more records than anyone we know). A one time monthly resident at the Bunker, he's always very eclectic and he never plays anything but incredible records. This time, he's telling us to expect lots of Chicago booty house and Baltimore breaks, but you never know what's coming next when this guy is behind the decks.
