Derek is one of the best DJs we've heard. Dude never, ever f*cks up a mix, and his excellent track selection always keeps the trainspotters on their toes. Ghostly has this to say: "Derek Plaslaiko delves into the realm of dance music in which the head and body are equally active. The records he plays click and whirl inside the brain while the low end keeps the body busy. Mixing lush techno with jackin' house and a healthy dose of Detroit classics, Plaslaiko is known for his creative track selection, seamlessly woven by pin-point mixing skills that rival international DJs like Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola, and Laurent Garnier (all of whom Plaslaiko has shared deck time with)." Kendra is one of the residents at Boston's new Future/Retro weekly Friday party. She is known for playing deep minimal tunes that fall into the catagory of either robot love songs or underwear dance party anthems. She's been a friend and a supporter for a long time, and we're thrilled to finally get her behind the decks at the Bunker. She will warm up the room for the insanity that will follow. We've seen Talibam a few times on the experiemntal rock improv circuit, and each time they are different. Sometimes jazzy and sometime hard hitting electro-wavey, always raw and inspired. This will be their Tonic Debut! We have it on good word from DJ North Guinea Hills that Isle of Citadel are heavy like the boulder poor Sisyphus had to push up the mountain. Dirgey deep and loud loud loud drony psychedelia. Foxy Proposition is the duct tape of superintelligent extraterrestrial beings, spreading and blowing up the elements. tianna kennedy on cello and kevin shea on drums. Enos Slaughter take cues from a bat wielding spirit, poking a thumb in third eyes everywhere. Electric guitar, bozuk, trashcan moog sounds, and mystery sources combine to create alienation. Space lute meets the human string incinerator. Possible outgrowth of: NNCK, Sunburned Hand of the Man, Zashiki-Warashi.
