We were thrilled when we got a phone call yesterday asking if we had an open slot at the Bunker for John Tejada. John is one of the most innovative techno/house producers we've ever heard, and we're constantly playing his tracks at the Bunker. He's released about 8 albums and countless singles. Highly recommended if you like Dan Bell, Perlon tracks, Magda, Kompakt, designer techno ... or if you just like to jack on the dancefloor. John will be playing Final Scratch from about 1:30 until we all want to stop dancing. Behind the decks, Ripley gets music to trick your ass into thinking it's a brain, re-breaking bass and beats from jungle into dub, dancehall, hiphop, and experimental noise. On sunny days, Ripley spins rocksteady. Ripley wants everyone to dance, and she usually succeeds. Ripley spent most of her summer touring Europe, and her bag is surely full of amazing new records. She will be releasing a mix CD on Deathsucker Records soon. Sara Walker is one of the best electro/breaks DJ's in NYC, frequently igniting the dancefloor at Static events with her unique blend of all things dark and funky. This may well be your last chance to see her play a breaks set in NYC for a long time, as she is moving to Europe in early November. The last time Sara played the Bunker, the dancefloor erupted and we had one of our best parties ever.
