Martin Schopf aka Dandy Jack is a true veteran of the electronic music world. He first came to our attention via his two excellent experimental techno albums on Atom Heart's Rather Interesting label in the late '90s as Dandy Jack And The Cosmic Trousers and Dandy Jack And The Plastic Woman. Then came a collaboration with Ricardo Villalobos as Ric Y Martin, which produced two of the earliest and best 12"s on Perlon. He also has a long term collaborative project with Tobias Freund (aka Pink Elln, Tobias.) called Sieg Über Die Sonne which has produced several hit records which were released by Sony in the '90s and Multicolor more recently. It's also worth mentioning that he has collaborated with Atom Heart, Pete Namlook, Jorge Gonzalez, and has participated in performances with techno supergroup Narod Niki. In 2005 he released an album on Perlon as Dandy Jack and the Junction SM with partner Sonja Moonear, and has been on the road touring with that project ever since. Despite releasing such a large body of recorded work with so many famous collaborators, Dandy Jack is most well known for his incredibly energetic live sets.
