Kontrol is a monthly event that launched in San Francisco two years ago and quickly became one of the best techno parties in North America. They've hosted many impressive special guests including Daniel Bell, Matthew Dear, John Tejada, Sammy Dee, Alex Under, and the Bunker's own Derek Plaslaiko. Beyond Booking has sent many of our artists to play at Kontrol, and everyone returns with rave reviews. This week we are thrilled to present all four Kontrol residents in NYC together for the first time ever.

Sammy D first caught our ear with his hilarious twisted house collaborations with Justin Martin on Dirtybird in 2005 (dirtybird001 and 002), which were played at the Bunker and Wolf + Lamb by Spinoza constantly that summer. He is a very successful DJ in San Francisco, with several big residencies and 8 years behind the decks under his belt. His prodigal talent as a musican and dj, combined with a 6th sense for whipping any crowd into a funk, has taken San Francisco by storm, or at least a light shower.

Alland Byallo appeared on our radar as a producer this year with releases on Leibe*Detail and Floppy Funk and a remix on Dirtybird, all of which have gone over very well on the Bunker dancefloor. Alland has hosted the infamous netradio show Comfort Sessions for four years, only recenlty switching to an On-Demand format with Proton Radio, with special guests like Troy Pierce, Lee Curtiss, and John Tejada regularly stopping by. He currently spends a lot of time doing A&R for his own digital label, Nightlight Music and his upcoming label Kvadrat Produkt. Alland is also a formidible DJ who plays out every weekend. Check his website for a slew of amazing promo mixes.

After playing in punk and metal bands through his early teenage years in Pittsburgh (Spinoza's hometown), Craig Kuna attended his first rave in the mid 90's and was instantly hooked. He threw his first party in Pittsburgh at the age of 19, and had a successful run as a promoter and DJ there until moving to San Francisco in 2001. He took a brief hiatus from DJing and then caught the minimal bug and got back into the swing of things as resident DJ at Kontrol.

One of San Francisco's true musical treasures, DJ/Producer Nikola Baytala has carved his own niche in the urban underground scene. With credentials that include 10 years of DJ experience, a successful weekly at The Top hosted by his collective, S.W.A.T (Special Weapons and Tactics), and a slew of signature tracks produced on labels such as Large, Tummy Touch, Nightshift, Soul Food, and Robsoul, Nikola has cemented his status as an A List artist with the kind of distinctive style that must be seen to be appreciated. His dynamic presence has won him aclaim from the likes of Doc Martin, Derrick Carter and of course his S.W.A.T. partner in crime, Rasoul.
