Krikor's first musical love was funk, and he spent a year mastering the bass instrument at the Bass Institute of Technology in Los Angeles in the mid '90s. Eventually he moved on to love and produce more electronic music. His sound is best described as Funk Concr?te: a gathering of many influences most of the times aimed at the groove, using natural environmental sounds as the result of years of recordings from everyday life, including trains, crowds, and city sounds. He has remixed everyone from Serge Gainsbourg to Andy Vaz, and released on many labels including Karat, Kill the DJ, and his own Omert? Registrazione. His live performances live are very improvisational, using laptop, various beat box machines, bended effects and contact mics. He has taken his live set to Mutek (in Montreal and Mexico), and many festivals and clubs all over Europe. He is currently focused on He is today focusing on his first album, and the electroacoustic work that he started 3 years ago while attending the class of the great contemporary composer Octavio Lopez of Ircam. Tonight is Krikor's debut NYC performance.
