In the Cartesian view of identity, the body is a container for our mind, personality and ultimately our soul. But what happens when technology allows us to transcend the limitations of physical reality as we know it? In a post-corporeal life, our bodies may no longer be confined to the rather cumbersome form of a human but instead a vast digital network. Matrixxman happens to be a proponent of this possibility. When he is not preoccupied envisioning the emergence of myriad artificial intelligence entities and endless virtual worlds within worlds, he also enjoys composing music. The essence of which is crafting new interpretations of something straddling the grey area between classic Chicago house and Detroit techno. “Resurgent techno atavism” as he prefers to call it.
In 2013, Matrixxman’s debut EP “The XX Files” received critical acclaim, garnering praise from the likes of The Fader, Pitchfork, XLR8R and Fact Magazine. His relentless rhythm tracks like “Protocol” and "Procedure" have been played by a who’s who of dope underground elite, seeing support from Levon Vincent, Jeff Mills, Len Faki, Richie Hawtin, Fiedel, Boddika, Pfirter, DBX, Larry Heard, Joey Anderson, DJ QU, DVS1, Huerco S and Seth Troxler, to name a few. It should also come as no surprise that Duff has already earned a fierce reputation with numerous releases on tastemaker labels like Delft, Dekmantel, and Ghostly International. Jeffrey Sfire is a fag that plays 80's italo, high nrg, chicago house, and everything WBMX. He's real real real.
Jeffrey Sfire’s introduction to the underground dance scene and illegal warehouse parties of Detroit occurred at the age of 15. This escape from suburban high society led him to some of the city’s most talented DJs and musicians, who soon exposed him to a new culture of creative riches. Learning by example, Sfire’s taste and skills as a DJ developed naturally and he soon began playing out at parties, clubs and sleazy gay afterhours, usually entering covertly through back doors or
with a fake ID. At the age of 18, a move to Chicago exposed Sfire to a whole other side of dance music history, including the Italo Disco and High Energy sounds of the 1980s. He spent afternoons digging through record store crates, meeting retired DJs and developing his musical palette. While shopping for vinyl at a record store in 2008, Ryan Smith met Ron Like Hell, a veteran DJ of 19 years. Both excited to meet another like-minded gay individual appreciative of timeless music, they were inspired to work on a project together. They really came into their own when they launched Wrecked as a monthly doors open at midnight party at National Underground, which was an immediate success. They've made it their mission to book solid underground talent to express the changing tides in the gay underground. Their sound has taken them to the dance floors of Berlin to San Francisco and The Black Party to 718 Sessions. On their own, Ron works for Academy Records plus djs around NYC and abroad, and Ryan works as an agent at the Liason Agency. For the past few of years, Wrecked has become a regular part of the lineups at The Bunker, shining bright as both openers and in prime time slots.WRECKED SOUNDCLOUD
DJ Minx was inspired to spin by the famed Music Institute in Detroit. Her style is described as funky, powerful house, with a smudge of grace. For two years, Minx engineered and hosted "Deep Space Radio"- an electronic music show on a Detroit’s WGPR radio station. The show was headed by the innovators of techno music: "Magic" Juan Atkins, Kevin “Reese” Saunderson, Eddie Fowlkes, and Derrick May. She played mixes by Kenny "Moodyman" Dixon and Stacy Pullen as well as the show's helmsmen. She conducted live interviews on the show including one which featured Roger Sanchez as he worked on a track at "Strong Room Studios" in England. She also voluntarily did a weekly radio program at the University of Canada on CJAM 91.5 FM called "Steamy Windows" that featured house music by various local and international artists.
As a resident of world-renowned Club Motor, Minx opened for Basement Jaxx, Doc Martin, Cajmere, and Afrika Bambatta just to name a few. She has also played alongside Richie Hawtin, John Acquiviva, and Timmy Regisford at various venues across the country. In December 1996, Minx created Women on Wax, a collective of lady DJs from the Metro Detroit area. She then began working with promoters and DJs all over the country.
Being a featured performer during the first-ever Detroit Electronic Music Festival (D.E.M.F.) in May 2000 (with over 1.5 million people in attendance), had an incredible impact on Minx's career. Since then, she's played at Toronto's Film Lounge, Club Ohm in Portland, Deep Sugar in Baltimore, Club Air in Japan and has been featured on Much Music's Electric Circus weekly television Dance Show. Minx has shared her love of music and DJ skills with massives crowds in Paris, Berlin, Cancun, New York, Switzerland, Tokyo, Spain, Belgium and numerous other domestic and international locales. Minx began producing music in 2001 and created her own record label - Women On Wax Recordings. Wildly successful, her label has served as a vehicle to present many talented artists and producers to the world including Diamondancer, Pirahnahead, and Diviniti. Because of her growing success in various aspects of music, she was asked to be a featured presenter at the “Roots of Techno Conference” held at Indiana University in 2006. During the conference she shared her wealth of knowledge on topics such as the history of electronic music in Detroit, efficiently running a record label, and techniques for being a successful DJ.
Currently on the Bang Tech 12 roster, Detroit’s “First Lady of Wax”is working on her 14th release on W. O.W. Recordings. Minx has also expanded her musical majesty by creating a sub-imprint of the label called W.O.W. B.A.M. (Women On Wax Bangin’ Ass Music). Besides releases on both of her labels, she also has a single on Minus. “A Walk In the Park” was remixed by Josh Wink, Matthew Dear, Magda and Ricardo Villalobos. She created “Undaground Boogie” that was featured in Richie Hawtin’s DE9 Transitions mix. She has worked out remixes for Trisomie 21 (Paris), Soiree Records (Detroit), West End Records (New York), Psychostasia Recordings (Detroit), United Music (Paris), and Whasdat Music (Detroit). Recently, Minx partnered with Jerry the Cat to establish Skyloft Productions, where the two work together to produce music for various artists in multiple genres.

Seven records later, which include a misty deep-house slow-burner in the Where Did You Go/Through The Haze 12" for Chicago-based, Smartbar DJ Steve Mizek's Argot imprint and the soaringly luxurious More Times EP for German powerhouse Running Back, Bouldry-Morrison's finely-tuned marriage of exquisite compositional flare, meticulously-sculpted sonics, and primal dance-floor functionality has earned her a Red Bull Music Academy residency in Manhattan, which found the producer working closely with Harald Bjork and Throwing Snow, as well as tours across the world that included coveted gigs at Berlin's Panorama Bar, Frankfurt's Live At Robert Johnson, and Barcelona's Sonar Festival.

Carlos Souffront is a music gourmet, a true DJ's DJ. His taste is rich and vast and he has the unique ability to create deeply rhythmic narratives that offer unexpected and exotic spices. He mastered his deep mixing skills with a cassette deck and a belt drive turntable in his father's den in Troy, home of contemporaries such as Mike Servito, Tadd Mullinex and Matt Dear. Equally entrenched in indie rock, post punk, experimental music, ambient, rock, house, and techno, Carlos was always a man of many worlds - with an ability to traverse though them with an unique imagination. There is a mood to his search within sound, something that is heavy, deep yet gritty. Like many Caribbean transplants that ends up in northern colder climates, he wonders where our rhythmic complexity is. For him it is effortless and endlessly surprising to the listener.
Carlos is an important component of the Interdimensional Transmissions parties, bringing a loose yet tight moody deepness and an ever unexpected edge. At the original No Way Back party, he demanded truth in advertising, pushing us to and then past the 12 hour mark. He has participated in the studio with Ectomorph, and also performed alongside some of their live performances.
It is all too rare to find someone within the electronic music spectrum that can be called an original, that you can only really explain to someone who experienced them on the dance floor, usually just by saying "that's so" and saying their name. For the past 13 years, The Bunker New York has led the way for American techno by bringing together hundreds of artists from all over the world. More than a mere techno party, The Bunker unites diverse sounds from across the electronic music spectrum, connecting the dots between house, techno, experimental sounds, and much more. The Bunker New York began as a party, grew up into a record label, and has become a collaborative community, fostered by founder and curator Bryan Kasenic since its launch in 2003.
Kasenic's roots in the world of music go deep. In 1993, at the age of 16, he began DJing on Carnegie Mellon’s WRCT in Pittsburgh. He went on to launch his own radio show on WNYU in 1997. The radio show, and his interest in the many weird corners of the NYC music scene, eventually morphed into the creation of a weekly email newsletter, which included noteworthy party and event listings at a time when nothing of the kind existed online. As Bryan became more established in New York City, he created Beyond Booking, the agency that would become a core part of The Bunker New York. During this time, Bryan was also a sought-after DJ, performing at parties and events on a weekly basis. Currently, Bryan also hosts a weekly show on Red Bull Music Academy Radio, featuring The Bunker's friends and family.
Bryan is much more than a mainstay at The Bunker New York. He has also played in many of the finest clubs and venues around the world: Berghain, Panorama Bar, and Atonal Festival in Berlin; Output, Verboten, and MoMA PS1's Warm Up series in New York; Air Tokyo and Circus Osaka in Japan; Smart Bar in Chicago; the Communikey and Decibel festivals in Boulder and Seattle respectively; Public Works in San Francisco; and many more. Additionally, he has co-produced numerous events and festivals, including several years at Unsound Festival New York. Unsound is one of the leading electronic and experimental music festivals worldwide, and he subsequently brought The Bunker to Krakow, Poland, Unsound's native city.
