In 2010, we launched the Berghain and Panorama Bar residency at The Bunker, and tonight we present our fifth edition. For anyone who's been living under a rock for the past five years, Berlin's Berghain and Panorama Bar have established themselves as two of the world's greatest clubs (under one roof, no less). Known for having some of the best resident DJs in the world, an impeccable curation of guests, top-notch sound systems, and weekend-long debaucherous parties, they get everything right and throw what are arguably some the best parties in the world. For the fifth edition of this residency we couldn't be more pleased to present return guests Marcel Fengler and Ryan Elliott alongside The Bunker residents Derek Plaslaiko and Spinoza.

Although he has been somewhat over looked in all of the excitement surrounding fellow Berghain residents Marcel Dettmann, Ben Klock, and Shed, Marcel Fengler has really caught our attention as the secret weapon of Berghain. He tore the house down at his first North American appearance at The Bunker back in July of 2009, and we've been eager to bring him back ever since. With a constantly growing tour schedule, a slew of productions on the horizon, and a Berghain mix CD due out in November, we think you'll be hearing a lot more about Fengler this year.

Since quitting his day job in Michigan and moving to Berlin last year, Ryan Elliott has been more focused than ever. He has become a resident DJ for Ostgut, appearing regularly at both Panorama Bar and Berghain. When we were in town for the Ostgut Fünf celebration in October, where every resident of PBar and Berghain performed over a long weekend, Ryan stood out as a clear highlight and completely owned Sunday afternoon. Elliott also maintains his ties to the US based Spectral Sound label, where he serves as head of A&R alongside old friend Matthew Dear. It's hard to believe it has been over two years since Elliott has joined us at The Bunker, and we are thrilled to have him on board for an extended front room set.

Derek Plaslaiko has long been the resident DJ at The Bunker, and was widely considered to be one of the best DJs in New York during his stay here. Derek has a repuation for blowing up The Bunker whenever he appears behind our decks, often outshining the world famous special guests he's supporting. After a very solid 2009, when he continued to heavily tour the United States, and made appearances at Berghain and Club der Visionaire in Berlin, Derek really took things to the next level in 2010. In late summer, Derek relocated to Berlin to focus on production and European gigs, and is already taking the city by storm. His debut vinyl EP on Perc Trax came out in September and has been well received on both sides of the Atlantic, selling out at Hard Wax in Berlin and getting a really great review over at Halcyonline. In addition to nailing down a very exciting gig at Berghain at Tobias' album release party in July, Derek will have a residency at Club der Visionaire this summer. Arrive early as Derek has opening duties in the back room tonight.
