After spending a great deal of time with Donato Dozzy on his first trip to the US in March, we instantly started making plans for him to play a very special set the next time he came to The Bunker. Hitting every record store we could think of in New York and San Francisco with him, and sitting around listening to our purchases, it became very clear that Dozzy was the deepest of music heads, with interests in all kinds of psychedelic music that extended well past the afterhours techno he is best known for. Tonight, Dozzy presents an eight hour set that will likely cover everything deep ambient to crushing dance music. While he has produced many great records over the years (and continues to do so on his amazing new vinyl only label, Aquaplano), Dozzy is most well known for his mind-bending late night DJ sets at places like Panorama Bar, where he was an afterhours DJ from 2004 to 2006, and Labyrinth Festival in Japan, where his epic closing sets the past three years have already become the stuff of legend. If you like music you've never heard played perfectly to a point that you feel like you're hypnotized, then we highly suggest you come to this event and listen to Dozzy do what he does best.

Although they have many accomplishments, JD Twitch and JG Wilkes, aka Optimo, are best know for their weekly Sunday party at Sub Club in Glasgow. The event started in 1997 and ended in April 2010. Over 12+ years, the Optimo DJs stuck to an extremely diverse playlist while introducing an incredibly wide variety guest artists. If there is anything Optimo are known for, it's taking chances. We've been fans for a long time, but it was after tuning into the live seven hour stream from Optimogeddon, their final night at Sub Club, that we knew they would be the perfect DJs to play an extended set at The Bunker. Since we are giving them a full eight hours to play with, we are expecting to hear them really stretch out and show us what they are capable of.

Derek Plaslaiko has long been the resident DJ at The Bunker, and was widely considered to be one of the best DJs in New York during his stay here. Derek has a repuation for blowing up The Bunker whenever he appears behind our decks, often outshining the world famous special guests he's supporting. After a very solid 2009, when he continued to heavily tour the United States, and made appearances at Berghain and Club der Visionaire in Berlin, Derek really took things to the next level in 2010. In late summer, Derek relocated to Berlin to focus on production and European gigs, and is already taking the city by storm. His debut vinyl EP on Perc Trax came out in September and has been well received on both sides of the Atlantic, selling out at Hard Wax in Berlin and getting a really great review over at Halcyonline. Derek will be starting an extended afterhours set up in the Public Assembly Loft at 4am.
