From 1998 through 2004, Patrik Skoog was very well known for his brand of hard tribal techno, releasing many huge records on labels like Synewave, Plant Rhythm, Drumcode, and his own imprint native Diffusion. In early 2005, he started releasing music as Agaric, exploring the slower, deeper side of techno, taking cues from early influences like Robert Hood and Mike Ink. Around this time he started the We Are record label, releasing seven amazing 10"s with little or no information included aside from the catalog number.
