We remember at Mutek 2004 when we got white labels of Foundsound 01. That was an incredible record that went on to become one of the minimal techno jams of the year. In the past year, Foundsound has put out four new records, and become one of our favorite labels. They've also established UnFoundsound, which is one of the better mp3 labels out there. Tonight we celebrate the release of Foundsound 05, which is our old pal Ben Parris's debut record. Ben has been one of the biggest supporters of minimal techno on the east coast. He organized the Once.Twice Sound festival in Baltimore, bringing in everyone from Akufen to Dimbiman. He spent the last year or so down in North Carolina working on a fish farm ... trying to figure out the meaning of life or something. Somewhere along the way he produced this amazing EP, which features a thumping Magda remix.

Joining Ben is Fusiphorm aka Cyhl. Fusiphorm has released some nice tracks and remixes on Unfoundsound and will make his vinyl debut shortly on Foundsound 06 and a 12" for Plong!. He has made several DJ appearances at the Bunker, but tonight he will be playing live for the first time in NYC. Word from Philly is that this is a fierce live set that you don't want to miss.
