Oneida will be honoring the Bunker with their record release party for Secret Wars on Jagjaguwar, which is an outstanding, we mean OUTSTANDING psychedelic masterpiece. Tight chunky guitars, fantastic pulsing layered organs, and solid, exciting drums. Heavy, dirgy, sometimes dark with deep moments of hope. And maybe even a little country tossed in bittersweet style. It's beautiful. Dan Melchior's Broke Revue is a storm of blues-based rootsy rock turned pop psych with their latest album coming out on Troubleman Unlimited. It will be available in a few months and is seriously perfect. It has horns, and Bruno whistles almost an entire song! Members are record junkie rock scene-flee-ers, carving their own path, and have mixed projects with Home, Jah Division, Holly Golightly, Billy Childish, and Oneida. In fact kid millions from Oneida will be sitting in tonight as their drummer. High energy, high integrity. YUM! Kid Kameleon is ace. Expect drum n bass, roots reggae, breaks, and thick techno flavors. He throws down with the soundlab crew and record camp in addition to countless free parties for free people in warehouses across the world. Gerald McBoingBoing has been tossin' down the boogaloo, sweet soul, pack jams, oddball jazz, festering noise - old skool style, and other assorted collectibles for a long time. He's taking a week off his regular gig at Pianos to entertain us! A contributor to Wax Poetics, serious vinyl collector, comic book artist and writer, filmmaker, and all around general creative talent. He can play all styles and we expect he will!
